Food Revolution Friday: Pi Day Round Up!

Pie, anyone?

Years ago, on March 14th the Math department in a school I worked at treated the whole staff to pie.  It took me awhile to understand, but did you all know that March 14 is known as Pi Day?

About a week ago Kevin asked me to make pie and strangely, I complied.  Pie has never been something I'm particularly strong at, but this time I made a pie.  And it ROCKED.  What kind of pie do you like?  Fruit?  Savoury, like quiche?  And, do you pair it with whipping cream or ice cream?  Is it warm or cold?

When I was a kid we used to go to the 108 Resort for fresh strawberry pie.  Custard topped with strawberries, enveloped in a glaze, and then topped with whipping cream, Marguerite's  pies brought people from near and far.   I've never been able to replicate her pies, but one that I have been able to replicate has been my Mom's pumpkin pie, which is my favourite.
