Recipes For Joy: Send a Card, Give $2 to the Food Bank

This Christmas, Kraft has put together an amazing program that not only helps Food Bank Canada, but will help you send out some great cards AND get some recipe ideas!

Go to Recipes for Joy and send an e-card to your friends up until Dec 31st. They will get a recipe box to download with all kinds of great recipes from Kraft, AND Food Banks Canada will get a $2 donation, up to a maximum of $50,000 from Kraft.

My family eats a lot of Kraft products, from Nabob Coffee to Baker's chocolate, Miracle Whip, their Cracker Barrel cheeses, Philadelphia cream cheese, and more. We were happy to be part of this great promotion! Just to show you what great recipes you can make (and in the interest of disclosure), Kraft sent me a box of products, plus some gift cards for groceries so I could actually TRY the recipes.

The first recipe we made went with Kevin's birthday dinner!

Citrus Salad with Bacon and Red Onion

Kraft Recipe for Joy Salad

It is rare that I make a salad and the entire bowl is eaten, but we literally scarfed this baby down . The bits of salty bacon, sweet orange, and then the onion and tender spinach were delicious. Topped with Kraft's Extra Virgin Olive Oil Aged Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing, it was declared a favorite and I was asked to serve the very same salad again for Christmas dinner.

There are so many recipes I can't wait to try! Next up is some really yummy looking chocolate raspberry thumbprint cookies.
