From the Kitchen: Brownies!

Saturday is my day to be in the kitchen. If you follow my tweets, you'll hear me chatter on about whatever I happen to be cooking, which usually involves cookies, and then some lunchbox foodie item. This week I made broccoli cheese soup, veggie beef and rice soup for lunches, along with oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and these really amazing brownies.

See while I'm really good about making sure Jake gets a good lunch, I'm not always that great about providing for myself. Last week my lunches were pitiful to the point where some days, I barely even ate. Or I had cereal.

I think I need to practice what I preach, don't you? Soup is so easy-just grab from the freezer and go! I love the reassurance that I never really need to make myself lunch when it's all stashed away in the freezer, ready to grab at a moment's notice.

You must try these brownies. They make a nice small pan, which is a good thing because we don't really need a huge amount of them anyway. Rich and chocolatey, they are just the thing with a cold glass of milk. YUM.
