Fabulicious Friday #51: Pamper Me

Viruses always get'cha when you're down. After the stress of last week, I spent this week sniffling, sneezing, and finally, in bed.

A good time for some serious pampering, people!

1. Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Foot Butter

I've raved about the Rocky Mountain Soap Company's products since I discovered them about a year ago, but to be honest, I haven't had the chance to get in to the store since. Then much to my delight Jake and I noticed that BC Ferries is carrying their products in the ship gift stores!
I'm not ashamed to admit we squealed. Okay, I squealed. He rolled his eyes and acted like he didn't know me.

So back to the foot butter; I have super dry, cracked heels. Nothing has ever worked. Ever. Then I started using this product,! I love the light scent, how it's not greasy at all, and is easy to apply. The best part is that after about a week or two, my heels were no longer all dried and cracked. I'm sold! I love it and use it after a shower and before I go to bed, every day. Just slather it on and then put on some socks, and you're good to go.

2. Celestial Seasonings Teas

It's no secret that I'm a coffee addict. After all, Hubs and I met at Starbucks, of all places. In the evening after supper, I can't have coffee if I plan to sleep that night, so I have a cupboard full of tea. Wrapped in a warm blanket by the fireplace, sipping delicious hot tea is the thing to do when you need a bit of pampering. These ones are always in my cupboard...

-Candy Cane Lane (specialty Christmas tea)
-Sugar Plum Spice (specialty Christmas tea)
-Peach Apricot Honeybush
-Lemon Zinger

I stock up on the Christmas teas when they are available, so I can enjoy them year 'round. Eventually, in our travels we would love to stop at the Celestial Seasonings factory near Denver, Colorado, and have a tour. Wouldn't that be fun?

3. Green and Black's Organic Chocolate

A friend of mine gifted me with some chocolate by this company last Easter. Oh MY. Normally I'm not a fan of 70% cocoa chocolate, because I find them too bitter. This one was amazing. Deep, dark, rich, almost with a hint of red wine flavor, it was by far one of the best dark chocolates I've had that's not from a specialty store. You don't need a lot to be satisfied, so go ahead-have a few squares with your tea.

4. Hanes socks

I always have cold feet, and when the weather turns cool and rainy, warm socks are a must. They have to be durable, too-I even wear socks to bed, and I go through two pairs a day. These low ankle socks are my favorite. There's nothing like fresh, clean socks to make me happy.

Our whole family loves Hanes socks. Even Hubs and Jake, who hate sock seams, find these ones really comfy and they are the only brand they'll let me buy.

5. Sleep

Okay, I know, this isn't a product or something you can buy, but wow-getting to have a snooze in the afternoon is the MOST luxurious thing ever. For those of you with little kids, just wait until they are all in school and you can spend a day at home sick, by yourself.

It's heaven.
