Cookie Crumbs: Teenage Anti-Work Strategy

Jake has his coat and shoes on and is about to walk out the door on Saturday afternoon to hang out at a friend's house.

Jake: "Okay, I'm ready to go."

Hubs: "Hey! You've got Saturday chores to do!"

Jake: " Aw, I'm all ready. Can't I go? I forgot about the chores!"

Hubs: "You didn't forget!"

Jake: "Yes I did, please?" (ensue puppy dog eyes)

Hubs: "You were telling Dustin over the phone that you had to chores before you left!"

Jake: "Oh. Right."

Silence as he contemplates this error in judgment.

Jake: "Damn. I was hoping you had forgotten that."
