One of Jake's favorite drinks has always been hot chocolate. Steaming and rich, topped with marshmallows and a candy cane, it's been the sure fire hit of the Christmas season.
That is, until we found out that Jake is lactose intolerant and most hot chocolate mixes contain, er, milk.
He was quite disappointed. We tried chocolate soy milk (gag) and then chocolate rice milk (double gag) before I hit onto a fantastic way to have lactose free hot chocolate.
-buy lactose free milk
-stir in some nestle quick chocolate syrup
-top with marshmallows and a candy cane (sorry, no whip cream)
BINGO! The most awesome lactose free hot chocolate ever. Throw in a bit of Charlie Brown's Christmas by the fire while we finish off a pair of sock monkeys, and it's a nice relaxing evening.
