2. Even after 20 years the guy still has it: Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones
While my friends were all pining after Tom Cruise when we were teens, I always thought Han Solo was hot. I suppose I liked older guys even then! No doubt about it, this movie looks GOOD. We have plans to see it this weekend for a movie date. Go see the trailer, or just read the reviews.
3. Environmentally friendly-ism: Bio-Life Fabric Softener From Shopper's Drug Mart
Since I'm not using the dryer so much, it made sense to try some fabric softener so that the clothes don't get too crusty hanging on the line. I have never used fabric softener before, and it seemed to make sense to use an eco friendly one. After all, I'm trying to save energy by not using the dryer, right? Bio-Life seems to work okay, although I haven't noticed much of a difference in the clothes being..well...softer. They do smell better though, and that's a plus.
4. That's Anne with an E: Anne of Green Gables turns 100!
Anne of Green Gables, the beloved story by Lucy Maud Montgomery, was published 100 years ago and Prince Edward Island is celebrating! Come take a look at everything that is happening over the next month or so-it looks like so much fun. Makes me wish I lived in PEI! If you can't make it over to PEI, you can take a virtual tour of the house that inspired the book.
Thanks to Lizzy, who let me know that she finally found the Anne Trilogy all the way over in Australia-I loved those movies too. My favorite part? When Diana gets drunk off of raspberry cordial. Okay, Anne fans, what is your favorite part of the book?
5. Are you a Shakespeare Fan? Come see Bard on the Beach!
Kicking off on May 29 until September 27th, come on down to Vanier Park in Vancouver and watch a performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, King Lear, The Tempest, or Titus Andronicus. You do need to buy tickets, and if you have a specific date in mind or event you want to go to (such as the fireworks), it's probably best to book ahead.
