Pajama Update

I just finished my pjs yesterday!

Much to my shock, they turned out fantastic! They weren't really all that hard to make, considering that I'm a newbie to the world of sewing, and are soooo comfy. In fact, I'm wearing them right now and asked Jake if he would like a pair too. Here's the finished product....

...which were finished just in time for a cold snap so that I could wear them and be all cozy. I made a few mistakes, but the were quickly rectified. First one was with the waistband. I used too much material to make it, and ended up with hip huggers. Now, I don't like a high waistband either, but it was so low that there was no room in the rest of the bottoms and they were uncomfortable. Me, I like pjs a bit baggy. So I ripped that out and fixed it, and now they are perfect. I also had some trouble hemming them and couldn't keep the sewing straight so it took a few tries to get that right. In the end though, I'm very happy with the finished product.

I'm not finished though...Jake now wants a pair so Pajama-rama is still on! If you'd like to join and show off your pajama making ability, you can let me know in the comments. Ya, I know...most of you come here for the food, right? You prefer things like candy swaps and recipes. Don't worry, I have something for you too.

Chocolate-fest has started, so scroll down to the next post and drool over those yummy cookies....
