My blog anniversary is quickly approaching! 1 year ago, on April 29th, I wrote my first ever blog post. Interestingly enough, it was about recycling and my husband's...er...aversion to throwing anything away.
So in the spirit of Earth Day on April 22, and to celebrate my bloggy birth, I'm having a contest:
The "Would you PLEASE recycle that, already?" Contest
What you have to DO:
Write a post about Earth Day, or recycling. Post it on your blog. If you don't have a blog, e-mail it to me (and then get yourself a blog already!) Make sure to let me know that it's there, or link to Notes From the Cookie Jar so I know you've entered and to go read it.
Take a picture with the same theme in mind. Earth Day, Recycling, Saving the Planet type of stuff. Post it on Flickr or on your blog (again, let me know so that we can find it, link to it, etc). Winners will be judged on creativity and humour by myself, Jake, and Hubs.
What can you win?
The best post, as well as the best picture, will each win a really well made and holds-a-lot-of-stuff re-useable canvas bag, as pictured here. I love mine, they are fantastic for grocery shopping, library books, etc, not to mention environmentally friendly! The picture on the front is nice too. I'll also throw in a yummy Canadian chocolate bar.
So whatcha waiting for? Go! Write! Take pictures!
PS...unfortunately, due to the cost of shipping this contest is only open to those in Canada and the United States. (sorry!)
