Hubs and I have been planning our summer vacation. Ya, I know it's early, but we tend to plan early. He sat me down one day last week with his trusy road map and a cup of coffee, happily pointing out all the places he wants to show us. Me, being the more inexperienced at the road trip thing, just happily tags along for the ride and offers advice based on my Internet research. Oh, and I get to be the hotel research/booking agent. Yay, me. I get to yell at certain hotel companies that forget to give us the reward points when they are supposed to.
The plan for Road Trip 2007 is to return to Utah to get our fill of more canyon country, and then see more of Colorado, visit Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park, see North and South Dakota, and then meander through Idaho and Montana on the way back into Canada via Calgary. This trip will be not as hot nor as long as the last one. We plan to visit family and my BFF, and there is no way that Hubs will convince me to leave the back to school shopping until the very last two days of our holiday. None. It just isn't going to happen.
So in the next few months as I happily research all things touristy from those particular states (read: become completely obsessed with America), please drop me a comment if you have any ideas/recommendations on things to do/places to eat/stay/etc. We have always found that the best information from anyone, comes straight from the locals. Like you people!
