There's no place like home

We arrived home at about 11 last night. There is something surreal about coming home after being away for so long. Everythign that is so familiar suddenly looks different. It smelled like new wood, and thanks to my effort to clean before we left, is spotless. But it still feels foreign until I hit the pillow. bed.

This morning we awoke to find a few interesting things. First we have this giant recycling bin perched on our back porch. I have no idea how it got there. I'm guessing that the neighborhood is now going to be recieving the city recycling service that I longed for last year...yay! Either that or someone stole a bin and hid it there.

We also have a new gate in our fence thanks to our landlords, and our blinds have been shortened. Looks nice. Now we just need groceries because the fridge has almost nothing in it. I'd take a digital pic and show you, but it's not that clean either and posting would mean I'd have to clean it, and I'm just plain lazy. No. You may not see the inside of my dirty and foodless fridge. Beg all you want, it's not going to happen.

So! We're home. Hope y'all had a great three weeks too! (oh my God, I'm even sounding like them now-hee hee hee!)
