Pitch Policy
Welcome to Notes from the Cookie Jar! You've clicked here because you are a PR person and you want to talk to me. To save us both time, keep reading!
My name is Karen. Send me a brief, original e-mail, not just a press release. My e-mail address is notesfromthecookiejar (at) yahoo (dot) ca.
Email if you want to:
-talk about something to do with Yummy Mummy Club.ca (where I'm the Food Editor)
-hire me to write an article/create a recipe for you.
-run a giveaway campaign
-send me a product to try
-talk about placing an ad on my site(s)
-invite me to an event
-sponsor me to attend a conference (see below: currently there's a sponsorship opportunity for BlogHer Food 2012 Seattle, Washington in June)
See here for where I have been featured. I have worked with Jamie Oliver.com, Tfal, Paper Chef, Chicken Farmers of Canada, Kraft, General Motors, and more.
Notes:
-your product should be available to Canadians.
-Currently, there is a sponsorship opportunity open in June for BlogHer Food.
-I am willing to travel if the travel costs are covered (hotel/flight/ferry). Weekends are best for me; however, in July and August, I am completely open.
-All events in Vancouver are considered.
-I only write about products I've tried and I always disclose if they have been sent to me or I've been compensated in any way.
-The focus of this blog isn't to get free stuff. I only write about products that I really, truly, love and think will be useful for my readers.
I am most excited about products to do with:
- family adventure travel (we enjoy 4x4ing, motorcycle riding, whitewater rafting, ziplining, skiing, caving, etc)
- photography
- gadgets/technology/music/gaming..especially things aimed at teenagers
- home and garden
- food/cooking/baking
- cultural events/festivals
-fast food advertising
-guest posts
Any questions? Please e-mail me. notesfromthecookiejar(at) yahoo (dot) ca
If you are a company or business who would like to talk to me about blogger outreach, I'd be more than happy to chat with you. I love what I do! Email me for details and rates.
Special thanks to Andrea, who gave me the idea and then helped me develop my own policy!
